With the Institut du Monde Arabe due for a facelift, we were given the opportunity to cover a palisade. The needs of the worksite (to protect, separate and cover) made it possible to make a gesture of communication, reminding us of the marvels of the site's collections, over and above the unattractive aspect of the work. What's more, a decorated palisade is less likely to be tagged than a simple tarpaulin! The proposed visual plays on the very shape of the safety barriers, corrugated iron: the silhouettes of the objects in the permanent collections are reinterpreted in kinetic fashion. Color becomes rhythm. We liked the visual, and used it again for the Institut's 2011 greetings card.
