Too few people know that the Muséum national d'histoire naturelle is more than just the venerable galleries of the Jardin des plantes in Paris. This is why the idea of federating the multiple sites, labs and activities became stronger. 

We accompanied this strategic reflection and finally proposed a redesign of the visual identity, with coherence and high standards as a guideline. Thus, we redesigned the Museum's seal, which remains a very strong symbol, but which needed to be made more legible in order to become the contemporary incarnation of the Museum. In addition, we created the Buffon typeface with numerous ligatures and a graphic system based on the principle of the golden ratio, in order to compose the typograms of the various organizations dependent on the Museum. In the same way, each event is also symbolized by an ideogram drawn in the style and with the weights of the typeface.
